Class Reunion Updates

Class of 1957 - Holy Cross Class of 1957 celebrated their 50th Class Reunion on Sept. 14, 15 and 16th.  It began with a golf outing at Kenton County as they joined with the class of 1962 who were celebrating their 45th reunion.  After golf the reunion continued at Legends Sports Bar (formerly Acre’s Market), again, with the Class of 1962.  Approximately 50 people enjoyed each other’s company and exchanged memories until 11:00 pm.
On Saturday, close to 100 people from both classes gathered for what all shared in high school—our Catholic faith, at 4:30 Mass at Holy Cross Church.
The class of 1957 continued the evening at Fort Mitchell Country Club for an excellent buffet dinner while we continued to share our stories, reportedly, much embellished!    Approximately 58 people were in attendance and were honored with a guest appearance by Principal Clay Eifert.
The reunion ended on Sunday at a picnic hosted by Mike and Anita Ward.  A good time was had by all 50 people, apparently, as they are hoping to get together for Christmas!   Reported by Pat Taney

Class of 1962 - On September 14, 15, and 16 the Holy Cross class of ‘62 celebrated their 45 year  class reunion. It was a truly blessed weekend. Our memories were jogged by just being at Holy Cross and by the music and all the pictures and information that had been collected for the event.
Being with classmates and friends, some who we have not seen for way too many years, was just wonderful! All the spouses seemed to enjoy themselves, too.
Our committee has decided to continue meeting, as we did for the planning of our reunion, as often as we can. We encourage our classmates who live in the area to join us. We also thank   everyone at Holy Cross for all their kind assistance, and especially thank sisters Teresa, Clarita, Carmella and Samuel for sharing in our celebration.

Class of 1965 – Let’s celebrate turning 60!!! Holy Cross Class of 1965 missed having its last class reunion (the 40th) – but decided not to let time slip by any further – and have a 60th Birthday Party to celebrate their diamond birthday year!  All but a couple of classmates were able to be contacted and a weekend menu of activities was enjoyed by over 85 attendees.  The variety and times of the events enabled people to pick and choose what they would like to attend.  On Friday there was golfing and a mixer at Legends; Saturday included morning Mass, a tour of the “old” high school, an afternoon football game (which Holy Cross won) and a casual dinner; and the weekend closed with a Sunday afternoon picnic.  The most attended event was the Saturday night casual dinner.  70 people - classmates, spouses, and former teachers – Sr. Clarita, Mr. Schneider, Mr. Gerding and Mr. Bezold, joined in a very pleasant evening renewing acquaintances.  Many of us attended all 12 years at Holy Cross – and unanimously agree - good friendships never fade. We were smiling all weekend! Since this gathering weekend was such a success, it was decided that we create a tradition to have a yearly mixer – the Holy Cross Class of 1965 will continue to celebrate. Reported by Denny Taney
