Holy Cross Night at Florence Freedom
The Holy Cross High School Parents' Club will host a Holy Cross "Welcome to the 2010 School Year" Night at the Florence Freedom on Saturday, august 15th. Holy Cross Fall sports team pictures will take place on this day long with a Holy Cross tailgate party that will replace the annual corn roast. All will be held in the rear parking lot at Champion Windows Stadium in Florence prior to the 6:05 Florence Freedom game. At the game, Benedictine Sisters and long-time Holy Cross teachers, Sister Carmella and Sister Samuel, will be honored with a "Sisters bobble-head". Adult admission prices will include a bobble-head! Plan ahead and mark your calender now for this fun event to kick off the 2010-2011 school year! Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
Bingo Workers Needed
Dear Parents,
Holy Cross is looking for people who can help to work the High School Bingo. Bingos are held on Monday nights in the school cafeteria. Jennie Leffler runs our bingo and is in desperate need of workers. The jobs needed include callers, pull tab sales, concession, clean up. The bingo starts at 7pm and goes until 9:30 or so (depending on clean up time).
All of the money that the bingo generates goes to support the school, and in turn helps to keep the tuition cost down. Therefore, the bingo benefits all of the families at Holy Cross. Experience is not needed. Jennie would be more than happy to “teach you the ropes”.

Financial Aid
Holy Cross High School has a tuition assistance program that helps families with limited, moderate and middle incomes. Holy Cross High School contracts the services of Private School Aid Service to evaluate applications and to make award recommendations. Therefore, in order to receive assistance families must complete a tuition assistance form in order to receive an award. Please contact Nancy in the high school office at 431-1335 for application information.

Alcohol/Drug Abuse Education Session
Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor, Rodney Valandra spoke to classes during the Enrichment period in the beginning of the school year. Drug and alcohol abuse among teenagers is a major concern and something that we take very seriously. Mr. Valandra is available to students and parents throughout the school year. If you have a concern please feel free to contact Mr. Valandra via our website under the Faculty email section.
