Dress Code
Beginning October 5th, shorts and Capri-style pants may no longer be worn. All students must wear uniform-style pants (girls may obviously wear uniform skirts). Please make sure that as cooler weather approaches, acceptable sweatshirts and jackets are worn. We are already seeing an increase in the number of illegal sweatshirts being worn at school. Only HC logo sweatshirts or plain sweatshirts may be worn in white, black, red, or gray.
Detentions will be given for dress code violations.

No Pass No Drive Law
A new law has been passed and activated concerning all 16 and 17 year olds who have or are applying for a driver’s license. Under this law, Holy Cross High School is required to report at the end of each semester, any student who is failing two or more classes or who has nine or more unexcused absences. The law also requires us to immediately report any student who drops out of school. These conditions can result in the denial or revocation of a student’s driver’s license.
New Driver Verification Form
Another regulation associated with the “No Pass/No Drive Law” requires a “School Compliance Verification Form” to be presented to the clerk before the written test will be administered. Be sure to have your student pick up this form in the high school office before taking them for their written test.
ACT DATES
If you are a Senior and have not yet taken the ACT, and are planning on going to college, you need to take the test immediately. Having an ACT or SAT is a requirement for college applications, and you cannot be admitted without an ACT score that meets the requirements of each particular college.
Also, when filling out your ACT test packet, the school code for Holy Cross is 180-555.
See Mrs. Stropko or Mrs. Meeks if you need help in filling out your packet.
The regulations for dances are:
- Holy Cross High School students may bring one guest but must sign them in and are responsible for their conduct.
- Once a student leaves the dance they will not be readmitted
- Student appearance, dress and dancing must be in good taste
