"Idea, Start, Grow" Success!

Congratulations to Hayden Ficke, Aidan Daley, Holden Lipscomb, Lexi Bornhorn and Audrey Davis!  They competed in the "Idea, Start, Grow" entrepreneurship competition over the past few weeks, and both teams came home with prizes!   The 3D Defense team, made up of Audrey Davis, Lexi Bornhorn and Holden Lipscomb, received 2nd Place overall.  The Table Tech team, made up of Aidan Daley and Hayden Ficke, received the Most Insightful Idea award.  

The students worked in teams all year to develop an idea for a new product/service that solves a problem. They then had to prove that there is an existing market for their product/service and determine how to reach consumers, revenue possibilities, and future growth.  They pitched their ideas in a slideshow to a panel of judges similar to a "Shark Tank" scenario.  After about 50 teams from many local high schools in Ohio and Kentucky presentedtheir ideas, the judges chose the top 7 to compete in the final competition.
